LUMINIA was founded with a vision to bring a cleaner, more refined and thoughtfully designed approach to the world of interior fragrances.
From the very beginning, we believed that a candle should not be merely a decorative object, but a natural part of the space. Fragrance, light, design and attention to detail therefore became the foundation of every LUMINIA product. Our aim is to create scents that bring tranquillity, light and timeless elegance into the interior.
THE FOUNDER’S STORY
LUMINIA was founded by Natália Gápľovská. After years in the world of modelling, she decided to follow a creative path that brought together her appreciation for aesthetics, detail and fragrance. The first candles were made by hand, with an emphasis on high quality ingredients, balanced fragrance compositions and clean design. From its original candle collection, LUMINIA gradually expanded to include perfumes, interior diffusers, car fragrances, aromatic oils and herbal teas.
Today, we bring fragrance into homes, hotels, salons and exceptional spaces, where scent becomes an integral part of the overall experience.

The name LUMINIA is associated with light, which has been a symbol of the brand from the very beginning. It refers to the warmth of a candle, the tranquillity of home and exceptional moments that remain in our memories. The visual identity of LUMINIA is therefore rooted in clean lines, timeless aesthetics and attention to every detail.
INGREDIENTS & ETHICAL APPROACH
THE PURITY OF NATURAL WAX
Our products are based on carefully selected plant based waxes sourced from renewable resources. We obtain our raw materials from trusted suppliers, and they are processed with an emphasis on quality, sustainability and responsible sourcing.
Their production is carried out predominantly by hand in certified manufactures that respect both nature and people. Natural plant based wax therefore combines purity, functionality and environmental responsibility in one harmonious material.
EGYPTIAN COTTON WICKS
Egyptian cotton wicks represent a world renowned standard of excellence in the art of candle making and offer 100% pure natural quality.
From a wide selection, we carefully choose and test wicks with the most suitable thickness, shape and braiding method, tailoring each one to the individual fragrance. Every essence has its own character, oil content, density and volatility, which require the wick type and exact wax proportions to be perfectly adjusted.
THE ALCHEMY OF ESSENCES
LUMINIA fragrances are composed of carefully selected essential oils, exotic spices and precious woods.
The authentic scents of our candles and diffusers create a sensual atmosphere, invigorate the body or help relax the mind. Exceptionally long lasting compositions can be gently layered, naturally evolve over time and create a distinctive atmosphere with their own unique signature. BOHEMIA CRYSTAL
We selected the finest material we could find locally, and we are rightfully proud of it. It took several months to find a glassworks capable of hand blowing vessels for us from genuine Bohemia Crystal, with perfectly clean shapes, an absolutely even base, precisely polished edges and brilliant clarity that has earned worldwide recognition.
Each vessel is a small work of art, crafted over the course of two days by six pairs of skilled hands. Crowned with a handmade lid featuring a cut crystal diamond, it becomes an iconic interior accessory even after the candle has burned down.
ECO PROGRAM
We believe that a high quality product can continue to have a purpose even after the candle has burned down or the perfume has been used up.
You may decline unnecessary packaging when placing your order, and return undamaged crystal candle vessels or empty LUMINIA perfume bottles to receive a discount on your next purchase. You can also give an empty crystal vessel a new purpose and use it as an elegant interior detail, a small storage bowl, jewellery box, vase for dried flowers or a personal object with its own story.

CANDLE CARE
To ensure that your candle burns evenly, cleanly and for as long as possible, give it the proper care from the very first use. A few simple steps will help preserve the beauty of the crystal vessel, the quality of the burn and the intensity of the fragrance throughout the candle’s lifetime.
FIRST BURN & WICK CARE
When lighting the candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax has melted all the way to the edges of the vessel. This creates an even melt pool and prevents the candle from burning only down the centre.
Before each subsequent use, trim the wick to approximately 6 mm. The correct wick length helps maintain a calm flame, ensures a clean burn and extends the life of the candle. Keep the candle away from draughts.
HOW TO FIX TUNNELLING
If a tunnel begins to form or wax remains on one side of the vessel, allow the candle to burn for longer so that the wax gradually melts all the way to the edges.
If the wick is too short or becomes submerged in wax, carefully pour out a small amount of melted wax. This will expose more of the wick, strengthen the flame and allow it to melt a wider surface. If the candle burns unevenly, you can gently move the wick through the melted wax towards the unmelted area.
SAFETY
Trim the wick regularly to approximately 6 mm to prevent the flame from becoming too large, the candle from smoking or the wick from touching the glass. Pay particular attention to the candle during longer burning periods.
Do not burn the final centimetre of wax. Always place the candle on a stable, heat resistant surface, away from draughts, flammable objects, children and pets.
Never leave a burning candle unattended.
INTERIOR DIFFUSER CARE
Pour part of the fragrance oil into the diffuser vessel, insert the rattan reeds and allow them to absorb the oil for approximately 12 hours. Then turn them over, placing the dry ends into the oil, so that the fragrance can begin to diffuse naturally throughout the space.
You can adjust the fragrance intensity through the amount of oil, the number of reeds used and how regularly they are turned. The more reeds you use, the stronger the fragrance experience will be, although the oil will also be consumed more quickly. Turn the reeds again whenever you wish to refresh the scent.
Place the diffuser on a protective surface, away from direct sunlight, heat sources and delicate surfaces, ideally in an area with gentle air circulation. Depending on the fragrance, temperature, humidity and airflow, the diffuser may fragrance your space for approximately 12 to 24 months. Heat, dry air and draughts will intensify the fragrance, but will also accelerate evaporation.
